Good Evening (or Early Morning) Art Fans! Can a person ever have too much art in their lives? Apparently not for me. I was a happy girl this weekend attending three different art events 4 times over 3 days. The fun started Friday night at The Woodlands Art League (WAL) holiday party. I was told to bring food and a beverage, but really did not know what to expect since I am a new member. I arrived early and was a bit confused. Several people were setting up long tables for art projects which was not what I was expecting at all. By 7:00p. they put us to work and the party was in full swing with tons of food, conversation, music and about 50 people working on projects together. A good time was had by all! Check out these photos, below: If you get a chance to drop by, please do. It's a great space with lots of fun activities and the folks here are super nice. Highly recommend!
The Woodlands Art League 701 Sawdust Road Spring, TX 77380 Saturday night and Sunday morning saw me at the Holiday Market and artists reception at Northwoods Unitarian Universalist Church (NUUC). I have a couple of artworks in their gallery and, in addition to wall art, there were tables set up with handmade gifts for sale. My son and I purchased some lovely ceramics pieces for gifting our friends and family. The show will be up in the gallery through the holidays and into the New Year. Stop by and say hello some Sunday. They have a wonderful folk choir during services from 10:30a. - 11:30a. Northwoods Unitarian Universalist Church 1370 NORTH MILLBEND DRIVE THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS 77380 Saturday I opened my email and was surprised to see an invite to from The Bella Bottega. I signed up for their emails a long time ago, but this is the first one I've received. Champagne, chocolate and an open studio art walk on Sunday afternoon were promised, so after leaving Northwoods I grabbed some lunch and drove over. There are several adorable tiny houses on this property housing artist studios and a little gallery. I was sleep deprived and pumped up on chocolate, so I talked WAY too much, but everyone was so nice despite my over enthusiasm (thanks guys!). It turns out that I know some of the artists there already and really enjoyed the visit. If you would like to see some quality fine art in a comfortable setting, it is well worth the drive. You might even get to see the artists themselves working in their studios. The Bella Bottega 903 Honea Egypt Road Magnolia, TX 77354 There really is a lot of art in this area if you know where to look. Support your local artists. You'll be glad you did! :-D Good Afternoon Art Lovers,

You really need to head over to the Conroe Art League tomorrow. It's the LAST DAY of our fine arts and crafts sale. Seriously, artworks were being scooped up by savvy Christmas shoppers looking for unique gifts. I'll post photos below. The gallery is open 11a. - 4p. and is located @ 127 Simonton Street in downtown Conroe, Texas. Highly recommend! It was both fun and exciting to set up for the CAL upcoming fine art and craft sale today. All the booths looked so nice and there were a variety of original handmade items offered. Christmas ornaments, ceramics, drawings, paintings and more! I was so happy. But, as I was driving home I realized I didn't get a photo of any of it. Oh no!!!!! Well, you'll just have to stop by this week and check it out for yourself. Here's the 411: November Craft Week And, in case you're interested, I finished a small artwork this evening. I'll post it below. Pleasant Dreams! :-) "I want to break FREE!"

#artist #art #holidayshopping Good Evening/Morning Art Lovers! While technically I am writing in the wee hours of Monday morning, it is still Sunday evening for me. I just have not stopped. So many exciting things to do! So, I'll just hit the highlights... Saturday evening was yet another wonderful evening at the Conroe Art League. We had our members meeting at 4:00p. wherein the winners of the Fall Judged Show were announced. You can view the winning artworks here: https://conroeartleague.com/page-1075435 This was followed by a glass blowing demonstration and a talk with one of our featured artists. Wow! During the opening reception from 6 - 8:00p. I chatted with several people including an inspiring mix media artist. She was kind enough to share her process for creating artwork with me. She also shot this photo of me and 1 of my 3D works: Changing Conditions (center in the photo below). If you want to experience some of Marla J. Loss, Artist amazing mix media work, check out her website here: https://www.marlajloss.com/ The highlights of Sunday were 1) getting an extra hour to sleep in (Hurray!) and 2) creating artwork while blasting my music uninterrupted for hours. It never seems like long enough. I completed an artwork that I started weeks ago and started another one (see below). I also framed a bunch of work. But, I'm not finished, yet. When I end this post I'll be posting to social media and then moderating another company's membership group and working on 2 of their websites. Yep. It's true. "Wonky" 7"H x 5"W #497 Pencil, Colored Pencils, Sharpie Marker SOLD This is tentatively titled "I want to break FREE!" It's obviously still in progress, so we'll see how this goes...Good night y'all!
