If you were not able to make the Artists in Action demo last Friday or Conroe Art League's opening reception the following Saturday, feel free to drop by 127 Simonton Street in Conroe, TX to see our July show. The gallery is open every Tuesday through Saturday from 11:00a. - 4:00p. But, just in case you're not sure about making the drive, here's a link so you can view the ENTIRE SHOW (62 photos in all!) online:

However, this is more of a tease because art always looks better in person. Plus, the gallery itself is beautiful and in the heart of downtown Conroe. If you haven't been to Conroe lately, you will be amazed by how much there is to see and do. Check it out!
In other news...
There's a gallery that recently moved to The Woodlands that will take your breath away. While we already have many with great artworks in our township, Ardest Gallery is, IMHO, a step up from the rest. This gallery is every bit as good as any gallery I have ever enjoyed in every major city I've visited. Not just in the U.S., but cities in 7 other countries. I'm just sayin', if you love contemporary fine art, you need to check them out. Here's the 411 on their next event:

"Abstraction" Opening Reception
Juror: Annette Palmer is an award winning, internationally collected artist and experienced Juror. She is currently a resident artist of Archway Gallery in Houston and widely published freelance art writer. Her own work explores distance, connectivity and forgotten means of communication, often within land and seascapes. Palmer is a graduate of the Edinburgh College of Art / Heriot Watt University, Scotland, UK.
I recently had the pleasure of stopping by this gallery during one of their events. They featured a local artist reading from a book of children's poetry that she had illustrated. I'll post photos that I took during that event so you can get a small taste of the diversity and quality of the artworks that are featured at Ardest Gallery.
